First SCARLET publication
A first scientific article entitled “SCARLET – A European effort to develop HTS and MgB2 based MVDC cables“ was accepted for publication in the journal IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity, which covers research on applications of superconductivity and other relevant technology.
The article discusses the development of medium-voltage direct-current (MVDC) superconducting cable systems in the framework of the SCARLET project, focussing on the cable concept as well as the main challenges and research needed to develop and type test the cables. Each demonstration work package in SCARLET has its dedicated section highlighting key aspects.
The article will be published at the beginning of next year and is available on ResearchGate and Zenodo.
