Presentation at the WavEC Seminar 2024
This week the Scarlet project was presented at the WavEC Seminar 2024, focussed on Portuguese-Norwegian cooperation on offshore wind: “Portugal and Norway: Fostering Offshore Wind Supply Chain Development”, and organised in partnership with the Embassy of Norway in Portugal, Innovation Norway, and Norwegian Offshore Wind.
SCARLET coordinator Marte Gammelsæter was part of the session on “Accelerating Development: Cutting-Edge Innovations”, which gave insights into the latest scientific developments, new technological applications, and forward-looking trends driving the rapid evolution of offshore wind energy. She said: “There was a great mix of stakeholders and good opportunities to learn and share knowledge. I am very happy that we got significant interest in SCARLET and even questions about piloting the technologies.”
The WavEC annual seminar provides an excellent opportunity to explore the latest developments in the marine renewable energy sector. This year’s event featured a diverse range of sessions, including offshore wind policy, value chain development, industry perspectives and innovations, and port infrastructure development.
