SCARLET at the Week of the Environment
SCARLET’s Adela Marian was part of a high-level panel organised by ivSupra during the Woche der Umwelt (Week of the Environment) at Schloss Bellevue, the official residence of the German President.
The benefits and challenges of superconducting cables for energy transmission were discussed in a lively round with Nobel Prize Laureate Georg Bednorz, Peter Michalek from Stadtwerke München GmbH, and Frank Peinl from the Ministry for Energy Transition of Land Schleswig-Holstein under the skilful moderation of Ursula Kollenbach from ivSupra.
The Scarlet project and SuperLink project were highlighted – moreover, the German President stopped by the ivSupra stand and was briefed on the latest developments in superconducting technology.
