Superconductivity for Railway Application
Last week the Workshop on Superconductivity for Railway Application took place at the headquarters of the International Union of Railways (UIC) in Paris, France. SCARLET was introduced to global railway profesionals by Christian Eric Bruzek from ASG Superconductors S.p.A., who then focussed on the hydrogen-cooled cable and its applications.
The meeting aims to bring together rail industry experts, infrastructure managers, researchers, policymakers, and journalists who shared expertise and insights into the future of rail transport. Presentations of three world-first superconducting railway projects exemplified the potential of superconductivity to revolutionize the sector.
