Meet SCARLET at CIGRÉ 2026!
At the upcoming CIGRÉ 2026 in Paris, SCARLET experts will share their latest work through technical papers addressing key challenges in superconducting MVDC systems, bi-energy systems, and grid protection technologies as follows:
- “High-power medium-voltage superconducting cables for Europe’s energy transition” (10699), presented by Gabriel Hajiri on 27/09/2025 at 08:30-10:30
- “Hydrogen-cooled superconducting power link” (11844), presented by Christian-Eric Bruzek on 27/09/2025 at 08:30-10:30
- “Superconducting Medium Voltage DC Transmission: Architecture, Protection, and Simulation Insights” (13859), presented by Christophe Creusot on 27/09/2025 at 16:00-18:00
In addition, Christophe Creusot will give a tutorial on “Protecting the grid with superconducting fault current limiter (RSFCL) & laboratory testing”, and there will also be two SCARLET-related contributions to the Group Discussion Meetings of the Study Committees A3/PS2 and B1/PS1, respectively.
The CIGRÉ Paris Session is the leading international gathering for power system experts, attracting around 15000 participants from more than 90 countries, including over 3600 international experts and decisionmakers. There will be more than 1400 technical papers presented, covering the full breadth of the power system sector and providing ample opportunity to exchange knowledge, debate challenges, and shape the future of energy.
