SCARLET at ASC 2026
The 2026 Applied Superconductivity Conference (ASC) is taking place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from September 6 to September 11. SCARLET will be featured in two presentations:
“SCARLET: A European Initiative for the Development of GW-Class MVDC Cable Systems for the Offshore Wind Export and Energy Industry” (3LOr1F-02, Invited), presented by Antonio Morandi on 09/09/2026 at 11:20-11:40
“Resistance and Inductance Characterization of a 10 kA DC HTS Type Resistive Superconducting Fault Current Limiter Module with Parallel HTS Paths” (5LOr2B-02), presented by Antonio Morandi on 11/09/2026 at 11:45-12:00
The first presentation is part of the Special Session “Large Scale Applications: Transforming Energy Systems, Power Grids, Transportation”, highlighting the current efforts and future utilization of superconductivity in the generation, transmission, and distribution of electrical power.
The ASC is this year’s biggest scientific meeting of the international applied superconductivity community, attracting researchers in all the key fields that support and develop superconducting technologies around the globe. It provides a unique forum for discussions within specialist topic areas and opportunities for researchers from academia, government, industry, and the commercial sector to keep up to date in areas such as quantum engineering and superconducting electronics, materials and large-scale applications.
